1. Why should I choose a EBF Personal Trainer?

Unfortunately, not all personal trainers are created equal. There are 5 key areas you need to address when selecting your personal trainer, and it is very important that your personal trainer satisfies all of these areas to your set standards:

  • Education
  • Cost
  • Experience
  • Certifications
  • Rapport

EBF Personal Training holds its personal trainers to the highest standards, and we aim to exceed your expectations in all 5 areas. Please visit our Meet the Team section for specific details about our team of personal trainers.

2. What are the benefits of in-home personal training programs?

Privacy.

The atmosphere at traditional clubs can sometimes be overwhelming and uncomfortable. Because we understand this concern, client privacy and confidentiality is respected at all times.

Maximize your time.

In-home training eliminates the commute to/from a facility. Each session is pre-planned and action-packed to make the most of your time.

Safety.

Trying to do too much too soon can cause injuries and timely setbacks. By creating a safe and effective individualized program, your in-home personal trainer will direct your progression and observe each exercise closely to ensure proper biomechanical principles are being followed, thus minimizing the risk of injury.

Maximize your rate of progression.

All too often, people arrive at the gym with no plan in mind and randomly decide what exercises to perform. This is both ineffective and time wasting. Your in-home personal trainer will closely monitor your development, selecting the proper exercises and making adjustments to maximize your rate of progression.

You have the equipment – you just aren’t sure what to do with it!

You might be one of the many who use your in-home universal gym to hang drying laundry. Your in-home personal trainer will show you how to use all of your existing exercise equipment and will work to empower you to have the confidence and determination to continue with your program on your own.

Learn proper exercise technique.

Your in-home personal trainer will work with you to educate you about your body and its response to exercise. This is important because it will allow you to recognize (and avoid) movements that are more likely to cause injury, and you will learn how to incorporate a successful in-home exercise program into your daily routine.

You have a gym membership, but you never go.

Sometimes the hardest part about establishing an exercise routine is actually getting to the gym. In-home personal training eliminates your excuses about why you missed a workout.

No intimidation.

Fitness facilities can be intimidating. There are machines, cardio equipment, cable machines, free weights, and fit people everywhere. Nobody wants to feel inferior because they don’t know how to adjust the equipment or how to do the exercises properly. Feeling out of place and worrying about what others are thinking can affect both your frame of mind and the quality of your workout. Your in-home personal trainer will work to educate you about your muscles and various exercises in your comfort element. As your program progresses you will feel more confident, positive, and comfortable with exercise.

Accountability.

Your trainer will create a program specific to your needs and goals, schedule time to spend with you, and travel to your home. With much time and energy invested in helping you achieve your goals, you will be expected to put forth a good effort and perform to the best of your ability. Giving less than 100% effort is not an option for your trainer, nor will it be an option for you!

Motivation.

Your sessions are pre-planned and your personal trainer is ready and eager to get you moving. As such, your personal trainer will see to it that in spite of any potential complaining or excuses, during your time together you will remain focused, stay on track, and successfully complete your workout.

8. How do I schedule my personal training sessions?

After deciding how many sessions per week you would like to train, you will select an available timeslot which fits your schedule as well as your personal trainers’ schedule, and which will usually remain constant. To avoid potential scheduling conflicts, all new clients are strongly advised to select their timeslot(s) prior to purchasing their sessions. We have a scheduling system where the clients can make their own appointments on line all on their own. EBF just has to approve it the appointment will be finalized.

Eg: Wednesdays from 9am – 10am

If you request 2-3 training sessions per week, you can select additional timeslots and these timeslots will usually remain constant for the duration of your sessions.

Eg: Mondays from 9am – 10am, and Thursdays from 3pm – 4pm

You can switch timeslots at any time provided your personal trainer has an available timeslot which better accommodates your schedule.

9. What is the cancellation and refund policy?

With proper notice and reasoning cancellations may be made possible. Cancellations and refunds are all based and determined on a case by case basis, depending on the situation. Twenty-four hours notice is required to cancel or re-schedule a session. Failure to give notice will result in a forfeit of the payment and session. All cancelled sessions will be re-scheduled. Personal training sessions are non-transferable and unused sessions are non-refundable.
